So for those who dont know, Kobe Bryant is involved in a lawsuit against his parents for selling some memorabilia he gifted to them. Long story short, Kobe wouldnt buy his parents an expensive ass house they wanted (mind you, he's bought them tons of shit in the past) so his mom figured she'd sell some old memorabilia of his to pay for the down payment. Kobe wasn't pleased his moms was selling shit near and dear to him, so he sued.
Now this particular case sheds light on the rather acrimonious relationship Kobe has had with his folks; most notably their initial dislike of Vanessa Bryant and disagreeing with Kobe's decision to marry her. A lotta people say that Kobe is a bitch for his seemingly dismissive attitude toward his parents and choosing Vanessa over them (prior to this, Kobe didn't speak to his folks for a LONG TIME due to their dislike of vanessa).
Doesn't help that Vanessa has kind of a public perception of nothing more than a pretty face who lucked into marrying one of the greatest basketball players of all time AND had the audacity to threaten divorce ("Bitch you wasn't with me shooting in the gym....." and all that).
Now here's my thing: PERSONALLY......why doesn't a wife deserve greater loyalty than a mother? This is the person that you entered into a legally binding contract with to be the best partner that you can be. The person that you have created a life with (and have literally, created life with). Parents should always be loved and appreciated for what they've done, but niggas have to got realize, your wife is your life partner; thats a special relationship in and of itself.
TBH alotta niggas destroy their relationships and let resentment come in because they run right back to moms/other family members to complain about their wife. Thats fucking stupid.
