Two teachers from the same school have been sentenced for having sex with underage students. Ashley Wolfe was jailed for two years after admitting having sex with a 15 year old student at Blytheville High School. And her colleague Seth Parsons was placed on probation for five years after admitting sleeping with a 16 year old student. Both teachers will be placed on the sex offenders register. Wolfe's teacher's license has been revoked while officials in Arkansas are considering the same for 24 year old Parsons. Wolfe was the first of the teachers at the Blyethville High School to be investigated for an inappropriate relationship with one of her students. The 29 year old math teacher was questioned by police after a 15 year old admitted having sex with her last October.
After Wolfe surrendered to police on November 5th 2012 the parents of another 15 year old contacted investigators to say their son was also involved with her. The teen told police they had sex at her home after she sent him a text message saying: 'I think we could have a lot of fun together.'. An arrest report said that Wolfe sat chatting to the teen for an hour and half before going to the bedroom where they had consensual sex and later dropped him back at school. 'The victim provided details describing the inside of her residence,' the police report reads. 'He stated they sat in the living room for approximately an hour and a half before entering the bedroom where they engaged in consensual sex. He stated, after the act, she returned him to the high school.'
According to police records, on November 2nd, 2012 Blytheville School administration officials contacted police, saying a minor disclosed having a sexual relationship with Wolfe. 'I interviewed the minor aged student who admitted to having sexual intercourse with Wolfe on multiple occasions,' Detective Josh Long wrote in the police report. Wolfe pleaded guilty to fourth degree assault when she appeared in court on July 12th. She was jailed for two years and must serve at least one third of the sentence before becoming eligible for parole. Officials said she will be in jail until at least November.
Two days before her sentencing Seth Parsons negotiated a guilty plea to first-degree sexual assault for having sex with a 16 year old female student. The former Blytheville High School teach received 60 months probation for the March 3, 2012 incident.
Officials said he has already registered as a sex offender.
