Damn man White people wanna use this word sooooooo bad. I saw this article last week and can't even look at this man the same anymore. This dude is like 60+ years old, way too fuckin old to play ignorant on this topic. Shit is really pathetic.
Comedian and actor Tim Allen is in a spot of bother this week. Specifically for telling the Tampa Bay Times that he should be able to say the n-word as much as he likes. "If I have no intent, if I show no intent, if I clearly am not a racist, then how can 'nigger' be bad coming out of my mouth?" asked Allen. The comic, who claimed to use the word regularly in his standup, added that "[the phrase] 'the n-word' is worse to me than nigger." African-American commentators politely but firmly disagreed. "Here's a general rule of thumb to follow when using the n-word for white people," said sociologist, author and radio host Michael Eric Dyson on MSNBC: "Never."
Allen continues: I’ve had this argument on stage a million times. I do a movie with Martin Lawrence and pretty soon they’re referring to me, ‘Hey, my n*gga,[what's] up’? So I’m the n*gga if I’m around you guys, but 7 feet away, if I said n*gga, it’s not right. It’s very confusing to the European mind how that works, especially if I’ve either grown up or evolved or whatever. it literally was growing up in Colorado, with Hispanics and Anglos, that’s all I remember. So when Paula Deen [admits her language], they go after her, and now we’ve gone backwards in the world. She said n*gga in ’83 or something?
