The suspect in the case of a transgender woman brutally beaten to death Tuesday in Fontana has been identified.
Domonique Newburn, a 31-year-old star of the YouTube reality TV show Hollywood Houseboys, was found murdered Tuesday afternoon in her apartment in the 7900 block of Bennett Avenue. Police were summoned to the unit when neighbors heard shouting. Evidence in Newburn's apartment indicated that a struggle ensued before her death. The coroner told reporters she sustained serious trauma.
Witnesses told police a shirtless black male fled the scene in Newburn's black 2004 Mercedes-Benz C240, which was found Wednesday afternoon about 13 miles and two cities from the crime scene at Perris Hill Park in San Bernardino. Witnesses provided a description of the suspect, but up until now, he had not been identified.

Police are on the hunt for Dantjier Powell, 18, of San Bernardino. He is described as a black male, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 155 pounds with an average build and dark complexion.
Powell might be traveling via bus, and investigators believe he is traveling with Jamie Nicole Cotton, 25, of Highland. She is described as a black female, 5 feet 8 inches and about 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
CBS LA says detectives served search warrants at two residences Thursday in the area, detaining several people and collecting evidence.
Newburn, who neighbors described as nice and quiet, starred as Domonique Duffy on the online docu-reality series, which follows the lives of four gay males in Hollywood.
