G&S: What is there to do in The Dominican Republic or Las Vegas?

I was thinking about going there with some of friends from work in a couple few months. Have any of you been there? Or know of any vacation stories (Good, or bad)? What town should I get a hotel at (All I heard of was Santo Domingo)? Whats a good town or area to hang out at? Overall whats the best way to have fun out there for a week? And yes we will be looking for women!!!
