McDonald's tells under paid employees to sell Christmas presents for cash.

Move over Walmart, you may be in jeopardy of losing the title of most heartless mega-corporation for this holiday season. McDonald’s has advised their employees that one way to survive on their substandard McDonald’s paycheck is to sell their Christmas presents (along with everything else).McDonald’s McResource Line, a dedicated website run by the world’s largest fast-food chain to provide its 1.8 million employees with financial and health-related tips, offers a full page of advice for “Digging Out From Holiday Debt.” Among their helpful holiday tips: “Selling some of your unwanted possessions on eBay or Craigslist could bring in some quick cash.”And the horrifying irony would not be complete if there wasn’t an angle where McDonald’s found a way to rob the public – they did.Elsewhere on the site, McDonald’s encourages its employees to break apart food when they eat meals, as “breaking food into pieces often results in eating less and still feeling full.” And if they are struggling to stock their shelves with food in the first place, the company offers assistance for workers applying for food stamps.Thank you for your hard work, no we won’t pay you enough to live on, but we will show you how to get money from the taxpayers. Which begs the question – why are people that work for one of the richest companies in the world on food stamps?The answer is because the average McDonald’s worker is paid $7.75 an hour which no one can live on. The workers need food stamps and other public assistance because – although they work hard – McDonald’s is ripping them off and underpaying them. So McDonald’s, in what is called externalization, is forcing the rest of society to pick up the costs for their scummy business practices.And once they get done with the taxpayers they want mom and dad to sell the Christmas presents. Fast Food workers need a union and fast.
