There are so many parallels between the two species its disgusting.
The first is that they are both non-native and invasive species in most of their range. They rapidly colonize knew areas and spread rapidly. And they do so with no respect to the native fauna (that means native animals.) They're presence can rapidly ruin local ecosystems.
They are both also extremely wasteful. Cats hunt when they aren't hungry and, since the native animals aren't evolved to deal with small feline predators, cats kill more animals they need and even torture and play with their kills and don't even eat them. Cats will often times kill so many small mammals and birds, there isn't even enough for native predators to eat. Sounds like asshole white British people who go to Africa and kill elephants.
Both species are afforded protection based entirely on emotion, not scientific evidence.
So to all you cat lovers out there, I hope this happens to you. Cats and white people only wanna be your friend when it benefits them.
