A woman who went into a children's hospital, pretended to be a nurse and examined two children has been arrested.
Ashley Delvalle, 24, from Philadelphia, was charged with simple assault and indecent assault after she allegedly molested one child during a physical examination and took the weight of another at Saint Christopher's Hospital for Children.
She was arrested yesterday and is being held on $50,000 bail.
Police were alerted to Delvalle by a hospital social worker, who informed officers that a woman went into several patients' rooms and told parents she was a nurse performing examinations.
According to Philly.com, hospital officials discovered that the 24-year-old had come to the hospital with her own child when she posed as a nurse.
The hospital released a statement saying: 'When we were informed by the patient's mother of the alleged assault, we immediately notified the Philadelphia Police Department and Philadelphia Department of Human Services.
'We are continuing to cooperate fully with the police investigation. The safety of our patients at St Christopher's is our top priority and we are firmly committed to providing a secure environment for both patients and staff.'
